Killing the journalist won't kill the story

FORBIDDEN STORIES / GLOBALCOLLABORATIVE DETERRENCE

A newsroom network turned continuity itself into the trust pitch.

Forbidden Stories changes the trust pitch from exposure to continuity. Its promise is not just that journalists will reveal what power hides. It is that killing, jailing, or intimidating one journalist will make the story travel through many others.

The Cartel Project continued the work of murdered Mexican reporter Regina Martinez through an international collaboration. The trailer has the right visual weight for this chapter because it turns the abstract phrase “press freedom” into faces, files, locations, archives, and risk. It is not a logo. It is a relay system.

That is why the slogan is so strong: Killing the journalist won’t kill the story. In the Mission Years, survival itself became a form of credibility. The story is trusted because it has been made harder to erase.
