Así nos habló Milei
LA NACIÓN · ARGENTINAWAN-IFRA · BEST USE OF AI
AI deployed not to write articles but to hold a politician accountable at scale.
Así nos habló Milei: 9 trucos del relato libertario para construir un nuevo sentido común. Thus spoke Milei: nine tricks of the libertarian narrative used to construct a new common sense. La Nación points machine learning not at the newsroom but at the presidential lectern.
The methodology inverts the dominant fear about AI in journalism. The model does not generate articles. It tracks, transcribes, and cross-references the political speech of an administration in real time, surfacing contradictions, rhetorical patterns, and the linguistic mechanics by which a movement shifts what is sayable. Human reporters write the analysis. The AI does the work no human team could do at speed: listening to everything the president says, comparing it to everything the president has ever said.
WAN-IFRA awarded it Best Use of AI in the Newsroom in 2024. The recognition matters because it proposes an alternative pitch in the AI era: not we keep the machines out, but we use the machines to watch power more precisely than any reporter alone could. In a country where the president posts thousands of times a month and contradicts himself by the hour, accountability requires a tool that does not sleep. La Nación built one and put it under human editorial control.
This is the Algorithmic Auditor mode. The trust pitch shifts from we do not use AI to we use AI transparently to watch the powerful. Both belong to the Verification Economy. Both depend on a human signing the final claim.
